Robinhood Expands into Sports Prediction Markets with Football Focus

Robinhood is broadening its prediction markets with the introduction of professional and college football contracts, set to launch in the coming days. The platform will offer trading on outcomes for all NFL regular-season games and Power 4 NCAA matchups, positioning itself as a comprehensive hub for speculative trading.

The MOVE leverages football's dominance in American sports culture. "Football is far and away the most popular sport in America," said JB Mackenzie, Robinhood's VP of Futures. The contracts will be offered through KalshiEX LLC, a regulated exchange partner.

This expansion builds on Robinhood's existing prediction market infrastructure, which has already processed over 2 billion contracts. The offering differs from traditional sports betting by using financial contracts rather than odds-based wagers.
